Senior Check-In (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates a daily wellness check-in service for elderly adults and their families. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our service you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
From family members (account holders)
- Full name and email address used during onboarding
- Notification and contact preferences
- Billing information processed by our payment provider
From or about enrolled seniors
- First name and phone number
- Preferred check-in time
- Call recordings and transcripts generated during check-in calls
- Wellness summaries derived from those calls
Automatically collected
- Basic usage data (page views, feature interactions) via Vercel Analytics
- Server logs including IP addresses and request timestamps
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Place and manage daily outbound check-in calls to enrolled seniors
- Generate wellness summaries and deliver them to family members by email
- Send escalation alerts when a senior cannot be reached
- Authenticate family members to their portal using magic-link sign-in
- Process subscription payments
- Respond to support requests
- Improve the accuracy and quality of our call experience
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use call content for advertising.
4. Information Sharing
We share personal information only with the third-party service providers that are necessary to operate the service:
- Vapi — powers outbound voice calls. Call audio and transcripts are processed by Vapi under their own privacy terms.
- SendGrid (Twilio) — delivers email summaries and escalation alerts to family members.
- Supabase — provides managed database infrastructure where account, call, and summary records are stored.
- Vercel — hosts the frontend and processes analytics data.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of a senior enrolled in our service.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and call data for as long as your subscription is active and for up to 12 months after cancellation. You may request earlier deletion by contacting us (see Section 7). Call recordings may be subject to shorter retention periods imposed by our call provider.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you or an enrolled senior. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
7. Children's Privacy
Our service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where changes are material, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
